Great Lakes Wreck Diving

Sanilac Shores Underwater Preserve, Pt. Sanilac, MI

Some of the Great Lakes' best wreck diving is on our doorstep and we have our own charter boat based in the Sanilac Shores Underwater Preserve - The Great Lakes Diver; she is a custom built, Coast Guard certified vessel capable of comfortably carrying 16 divers.

The Great Lakes Diver is docked in Port Sanilac Harbor between April and October and is available for students, individual certified divers and groups, as well as dive instructors from other stores and their students.

Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Alpena, MI

Early in the dive season (around Memorial Day, if not over that weekend) we visit our friends at Thunder Bay SCUBA to dive the awesome wrecks in the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. We usually camp at Campers Cove. Sites are rustic, with no power or water, but the sand spit might be the one of the nicest places to camp ever. it’s all about the serenity here!

Fathom Five Marine Park, Tobermory, ON

Later on in the dive season (around Labor Day, if not over that weekend) we visit our commandeer Ken’s Dive Locker’s boat to dive the cold cold water and pristine wrecks around Lake Huron’s Bruce Peninsula in the Fathom Five Marine Park. Again, we usually camp. Here we prefer Happy Hearts Campground. [Under no circumstances should you ever stay at Tobermory Village Campground—you have been warned!]

Blackbeard Cruises, Bahamas

To escape Michigan’s brutal winter we organize an annual group trip to the Bahamas. We dive with Blackbeard Cruises aboard their sailing vessels that mean you have immediate access to unlimited, out-of-this-world, diving.
